In other words, be nice. You are still free to express yourself, it's just as easy to do so within these guidelines.

You agree not to post or transmit any material that is proprietary, confidential, or infringes upon or violates any party's copyright, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights. Information that is subject to a non-disclosure agreement or confidentiality clause is considered to be confidential by these terms. Stealing is bad, right? We can't let that sort of thing go on here or we'd be guilty too, and they'd stick us in small cages without the internet. Horrible.

While your personal information is not made publicly available and is not shared with partners or advertisers, TheIdeaWeb reserves the right to reveal your personal information to legal authorities in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from your actions. You agree to remain solely responsible for the legal ramifications and other consequences which may result from your violation of this agreement or other misuse of our services.

TheIdeaWeb's free services are supported by paid advertising. By utilizing these services you agree to view such advertisements as served during your visits. Knowingly utilizing any software, service or setting which removes, replaces or otherwise disrupts advertising during your visits to TheIdeaWeb constitutes a violation of this agreement and may result in account termination. Because we respect our members, we limit advertising as much as possible and rarely (if ever) use popups or other intrusive methods of advertising. Members are even allowed to choose ad formats and frequencies. Ad-Free services are available for a small subscription fee. Essentially, we have bills to pay and employees with families to support. Ads pay bills and salaries, if you block ads you prevent us from paying them. Please don't.

Please note that chain letters, pyramid schemes, solicitations, unauthorized advertisements, and other 'spam' are considered inappropriate on TheIdeaWeb. Posting or transmitting items of this nature may constitute a violation of our rights for which we reserve the right to take legal and financial action. Using TheIdeaWeb's services to knowingly transmit unsolicited commercial e-mail (aka Spam) will result in account termination and liability for damages (determined at our sole discretion). You agree to refrain from posting or transmitting such items using services provided by TheIdeaWeb.

Forum Guidelines

Considering the real-time nature of a forum, it is impossible for us to immediately review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. The administrators, moderators, and other staff of TheIdeaWeb will attempt to keep all objectionable and false messages out of our forums; however, we do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any message and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

Messages posted in these forums express the views of the author of the message, which are not necessarily the views of TheIdeaWeb or those associated with TheIdeaWeb. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to report the message immediately by using the 'report this post' link.
